Last week we had the pleasure of being part of two summer schools - both as partners and organizers.
We supported the 16th edition of the Nuclear Engineering Summer School, where we presented our new infrastructure, CICRR. We are pleased to have been part of this event.
Simultaneously, we organized the international Summer School on Waste Acceptance System, a Tool to Facilitate the Safe Storage, Transport, Packaging, and Disposal of Radioactive Waste for students and postdoctoral researchers involved in #H2020EURAD and #H2020PREDIS projects. These projects focus on the crucial topic of radioactive waste management and are of paramount importance for the future. Twelve speakers explained the fundamentals of creating and utilizing waste acceptance systems to 39 students, covering their role from waste generation to disposal, including existing solutions in advanced radioactive waste disposal programs. Theoretical lectures were complemented by visits to selected facilities at CVŘ and ÚJV and to the Richard Repository.
Thank you to all who participated in these summer schools. We hope these events brought you inspiration and valuable knowledge for your future work.
