Pushing the Boundaries of Materials Research

At CVŘ, we focus on cutting-edge materials research focused on improving the safety, reliability, and lifetime of structural materials used in demanding industrial applications. Through CICRR, we offer our research infrastructure in an Open Access mode, enabling its use by national and international research institutions, universities, and industrial partners.

CVŘ successfully completed the CMX-8 international nuclear forensics exercise

At CVŘ, we are building expert and analytical capacities for investigating incidents of illicit trafficking of nuclear and radiological materials. A part of this effort is also participation in international exercises - CMX (Collaborative Material Exercise).

Development of safety and protection measures for nuclear power plants

Every event with an impact on nuclear safety is analysed in detail. Experts from all over the world aim to undertake maximum measures to prevent a similar incident from happening again.
