ÚJV Řež, in the Nuclear Safety and Reliability Division, ensures the support of the safe, reliable and economic operation of nuclear power plants and supports the preparation of the implementation of a new nuclear resource for the Czech Republic. It also deals with research on renewable energy sources.
The Division of Integrity and Engineering is engaged in improving the safety and durability of nuclear power plants, performing calculations, tests and analyses of material properties, in-service inspections of equipment and their qualification, including the construction and manufacture of experimental equipment.
ÚJV Řež is engaged in the production of radiopharmaceuticals, their research and development and the introduction into routine practice for health care in the Radiopharmaceuticals division. It operates three Positron emission tomography (PET) centers with its own cyclotrons. The division of Radiopharmaceuticals also carries out the construction and training of professional staff of the PET centers.
