SUSEN (Sustainable Energy) Project is European project prepared within priority axis 2, Operational Programme for Research and Development for Innovations of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The main aim of the project, which realization is planned between 2011-2015, is to built a complex research centre. The activities of this research centre will be aligned in order to fulfill two key objectives of the SUSEN Project:
• Contribution through research and development to providing safe, reliable and long-term sustainable operation of current (GenII and GenIII) nuclear power plants (prolonging their lifetime by 20 to 40 years).
• Contribution to the development of Generation III+ and Generation IV nuclear reactors.

The project submitter is Centrum výzkumu Řež s.r.o. (CV Řež), the project partner is the University of West Bohemia in Pilzen.
The SUSEN project will be implemented in locality Rez (UJV site) and Pilzen (Technology park Pilzen, Borska pole)
